DIY Wind Generator to Save Money on Electricity and Reduce Energy Bills

Posted by pongsak on 1st March 2010

An excellent way to save hundreds or even thousands of dollars in these so-called “hard times” is to use alternative sources of energy. One way to do this is to install DIY wind generator or homebuilt windmills in your homes. Many households across America already have homebuilt wind generators. This just means that this equipment is a viable way to power up a home without the use of conventional electricity. It wouldn’t be a surprise if majority of the households in the U.S. will have homebuilt windmills at the end of the decade.

Just think of the amount of money you can save with a DIY wind generator. There are people who are using these alternative energy sources to power selected alliances and contraptions in their homes and save a few dollars each month. But the real savings come when you use homemade wind generators to power your whole household. Many individuals have already removed themselves from the electric grid because of it. Imagine if you wouldn’t have to pay high electric bills every month?

Apart from bringing huge savings, homemade wind generators are also environment-friendly. Now that years of environment neglect have already started to take its toll on the world, people must start to become more conscious of their impact to the environment. One thing that people can do to help the environment is to look for alternative sources of energy such as using wind power. Windmills produce clean energy and has absolutely no negative effect on the environment.

So how can you start harnessing the power of the wind? The first thing you must do is to get yourself a detailed plan or manual. These plans come cheap as opposed to buying commercial wind generators that costs thousand of dollars. You must be careful though because most of the windmill plans out there are completely useless. You must get a plan that is detailed and fully illustrated and from a reputable company.

Build a Rooftop Wind Generator – DIY at Home Project

Posted by pongsak on 11th February 2010

If you are like any of the millions of people in America, or billions of people around the world, you are likely looking for a renewable source of energy that does not cost an arm and a leg and another leg. You should definitely consider building your own energy kit starting today, and it is definitely possible with all the “home depots”, junkyards around us, and even items that may be in our own house.

You can build your own energy and you do not have to fork over 10K+ just to have your own rooftop wind generator so why not start today?

The Awesomeness of Rooftop Generators

Yes rooftop generators are great to use! No Awesomeness is not a real word! It is possible to save tons of money by building your own rooftop generators and you can start right now.

Most wind generators are made to be in an open area, we’re talking at least 1 acre – most modern day houses do not come close to that. So what’s next? A rooftop generator – designed for those who have their own house, small home, town home, or whatever it is that you live in!

It is to be made in an area that has a decent amount of wind, and windflow – if you are not in an area that has tons of wind, then you may want to consider moving towards the solar panel route – which is just as effective, if not, more.

How do Rooftop Generators Work?

This is the first question that people ask. Rooftop generators work as this; they will give you the ability to save tons of cash, by catching the wind with it’s rotary blades. After that the energy is eventually transferred between gears, cables, and to a transformer. This transformer obviously connects to your house – you will have the ability to use this energy for appliances, just as if you were using energy from the good ole’ electric company.

So why not start today? There are people who are actually earning money by creating renewable energy in creative ways!

Your Home Wind Generator Project – DIY Wind Turbine Or Prefabricated?

Posted by pongsak on 16th January 2010

Have you ever wanted to make your home more energy-independent and not so dependent on power companies, and fluctuating energy prices? Many people are reaching this conclusion but a home wind generator and particularly a DIY wind turbine isn’t usually the first solution they think about. Solar home power is probably their first thought but there are alternatives to solar power and a DIY wind turbine is certainly an option worth considering. These home wind generators are not the same size as full generators as they are designed to power just one home.

Home wind generators use clean, renewable energy by converting wind power to energy that can be used by the home and a DIY wind turbine is the cheapest home wind generator solution. It can be used on its own or in combination with other home energy solutions, such as solar home power.

The basic requirements for home wind generators are obviously very different from those for solar home power, the main difference being that you need space to set up your DIY wind turbine. Where you set it up depends on the wind flow through the area. Obviously the areas with stronger wind currents are going to see the best results (a minimum average of 10 mph is recommended). After all, DIY wind turbines, like their bigger cousins, rely on wind power to work.

If you have the right situation to build a home wind generator you then need to decide whether you buy a wind turbine kit or whether you build your own DIY wind turbine. The first option will cost significantly more than the second – one large enough to power an average home will typically cost several thousand dollars. Even so, if you are prepared to wait for your return on investment, this type of installation will eventually pay for itself as you will be paying less each month on your power bill (typically paying only 10% to 50% of your original power cost!). You will need to work out what this means for your particular situation by looking at your power usage figures, but the average return on investment period is somewhere between 8 and 15 years.

Given these figures, it’s worth knowing that you can build your own DIY wind turbine for much, much less than this – to build a complete home wind generator solution, sourcing your materials as cheaply as possible and doing everything yourself, will cost hundreds rather than thousands of dollars. So your return on investment will happen very quickly; sometimes you can recoup your costs on your very first power bill, which is great.

There are guides which can show you how to build a DIY wind turbine from scratch and take you through the whole process, step-by-step, so this option is definitely worth thinking about. In addition to sourcing the materials for your home wind generator, you will need access to some DIY tools – a grinder, a jigsaw, screwdrivers, a socket set, for example, but don’t let this put you off the project – the cost implications of this DIY option are too huge not to give this a go and you will find that, with some of these guides, the instructions have been made very simple with the average homeowner in mind. The time you invest in a DIY wind turbine project will be more than offset by the enormous savings you can make. And the feeling of being energy-independent you will get once you have your own home wind generator system up and running is wonderful, as more and more people are finding out for themselves.

Windmill Generator Plans – Save Money While Saving the Planet

Posted by pongsak on 13th January 2010

If you are interested in alternative energy sources of energy such as wind power to create electricity for your home then it is strongly suggested that you get a hold of some quality windmill generator plans and take the job on yourself. The reason being that it is actually relatively simple to build your own windmill while buying one from a commercial manufacturer on the other hand can be extremely expensive.

A residential windmill can cost up to $25,000 in fact. Conversely, windmill generator plans will run you about $50 and the parts needed to construct your DIY wind turbine can be picked up for less than $200 from your local hardware store or home improvement center. It doesn’t take a math genius to figure out what the better deal is there does it?

A DIY windmill does not take any special skills to construct either. Nor does it require any special tools. It can actually be a rather enjoyable project that will in the end give you a great deal of satisfaction when completed.

It could take you decades to recoup the cost of a commercial windmill, while the cost of a DIY windmill will be recouped within a few months of installing it. There is also a tax deduction allowed by the IRS for utilizing alternative energy sources

How much electricity your windmill will generate is pretty much predicated upon how large it is and how much wind it will get where it is constructed. We have all seen those giant wind turbines on the windfarms. They produce electricity that is measured in megawatts. In other words, enough to power up an entire neighborhood.

Of course, that is not our goal here so the windmill that we are looking to construct will produce energy that is measured in kilowatts per hour (kwh). Typically, a residential wind power generator will not be enough to get you off the power grid and be completely self-sufficient as far as your electricity needs goes.

What it will absolutely do is save you a substantial amount of money on your utility bill each and every month. Windmill generator plans will allow you to construct a residential wind power generator that will not only create electricity for your home but will also let you to store it in batteries where the energy source can be tapped when the wind is not blowing.

There is one decided downside to wind energy that is rather obvious but I will state it anyway, when the wind does not blow and the blades do not turn, no power is generated. It is much the same thing with a solar panel. When the sun does not shine it cannot produce electricity because there is no energy being absorbed from the sun.

A quality set of windmill generator plans will have you on your way to realizing substantial savings on electricity bills. It will not however, create enough power that you’ll no longer need your utility company. Now if you were to build several DIY windmills then you may just be able to become 100% self-reliant for your electricity needs.

DIY Wind Generator Plans For Your Home

Posted by pongsak on 26th December 2009

Why DIY wind generator?

Recoup the cost of expenses of the commercial generators make them less attractive as a DIY wind generators. An extremely efficient windmill can cost up to $ 25,000, while a windmill, you can DIY for less than $ 50. The trick is, a good set of plans, these plans will tell you should be what kind of engine you for your generator or how to build one's own use. The costs that can break even with commercial windmills up to 25 years, while DIYWindmills pay for itself within a year, and they are inexpensive to produce, so you can produce multiple systems.

A windmill Will Get Me Off The Grid?

This depends on your energy needs and location. Location alone will tell which type of windmill, you should use. There are different size blades for different requirements of wind. The huge commercial windmills produce megawatts, so that they remove the potential, you have the network, but when no wind is blowing in your area … noStream. The megawatt commercial produced by a windmill, it would go would be to move the demand on the system during the spill to charging batteries for later use. You are current flow is measured in kilowatts per hour, so that you will be a lot of beef should complement what you already. Windmills can be used to reduce the energy bill, but you should also electric with other renewable technologies couple. Solar energy is a great technology coupled with wind power. If youClutch renewable energy, then get a path towards the network, which is an admirable goal. By harming the earth to generate electricity without her is where we should be out. Coupling with wind power, solar power is a proven way to do this. The biggest setback is the cost, but if your willing to DIY, you can complement performance at a fraction of the cost.

DIY Windmill – How to Make a Home Energy Generator

Posted by pongsak on 16th December 2009

Now that oil prices do not show any signs of falling, it is time that you switch to alternative energy sources like solar, wind and so on … We are mainly discussing the wind in this article.

Wind energy is very efficient and generally in most of the "windy" used seats. A home energy generator can be installed at a symbolic price of $ 200, while cutting your energy costs by 80%.

There are few things that we haveRemember when you installed the windmill. For instance, in the first place, the wind speed at about 8 mph or above, because we have not yet discovered the technology for harvesting large amounts of energy from wind speed below 8 mph

Be ware that the only way the cost of this wind energy plan to keep under $ 200 is on the right track plans. This once ridiculed, but now the most important part of the production of building wind generator. The "real" plans should have detailed instructions on what to do and exactly how to do it. You need to correct what is not buying all the parts and how they were all together, assemble and disassemble the parts, etc. Other plans that say descriptive, they are used, the user has to save for 'A' now and explain this part " X ', where you can change the part "A" free and part' Y 'for a discount so on and so forth. What is missing is the plans to the user comfortable andmake the work seem easier for him / her.

You must also have over other energy sources like solar energy, which is very inexpensive and incredibly cheap. The plans and "Solar-steps" of energy are more or less the same way as we saw for the wind energy is already in the article.
